Eleanor (Lottie) Pozniak

The Founder of the Polish Cultural Club of Greater Hartford

Eleonor (Lottie) Pozniak was born in Hartford to Polish immigrants, Joseph and Mary Kaminski whose activism in the Polish community inspired and motivated Lottie to become a leader who espoused a passionate desire to present mother country Poland and its beautiful culture to fellow Americans of all ethnic and religious backgrounds.

She has dedicated herself over the many years to her family and to many Polish American organizations for whom she has worked where the mission supporting Polish culture, heritage, history and traditions was on their agendas.

On a personal level she has been a generous and unselfish friend who willingly offers her help without making demands. Her strong sense of pride in her "Polishness" stimulated our spirits, encouraged and guided us towards a greater love and appreciation of Polonia without ever losing the realization of the privilege of being on American.

Lottie had the wisdom and the dream in 1976 to become the Founder of the Polish Cultural Club of Greater Hartford. With a sense of great honor and respect we celebrate Eleonor (Lottie) Pozniak the thirty years of continuous striving towards the perfection of the mission of the Club.
