The Death of Wilhelm Walenty Przybyszewski (William Valentine Prybeski)
(Historia ZNP, Volume III, page 398)

At the end of January [1923] the PNA administration was informed of the death of Walenty Przybyszewski one of the founders of the Polish National Alliance (PNA) and a dedicated activist for the [Polish] nation and the organization. In 1880 he founded the St. Casimir Society in Bay City, Michigan and joined it to the PNA as Group 12. He remained in this group until his death. His membership number was 312, thus he was one of the founders.

Already at the 5th Congress [1875] in LaCrosse, WI he was chosen vice censor. At the 6th Congress [1886] in Bay City, MI -- to where the administration of PNA relocated -- he was chosen president of the PNA. He kept this office until the next Congress [1887] when the administration was again moved to Chicago. He chaired the 8th Congress [1889] in Buffalo, NY and at the 9th Congress in Detroit, MI [1891] he was chosen censor of the PNA by acclamation. He held this office until the following Congress, held in Chicago in 1893.

In the following Congresses he was a delegate but took no office, though he was always appointed to the most important commissions.

The news of his death arrived on January 25. The funeral took place on January 29th. A wreath, in the name of the PNA, was laid by vice-censor Leopold Koscinski, who from among the PNA officer was the one living the closest. The Administration honored the dead member with a requiem resolution, praising him for the service rendered to the Alliance for 42 years.
