Engineer. Came to U.S. in 1846 and settled in California. Founded the town of Pollasky, Fresno County, Cal. Railroad builder. A section of the Southern Pacific Railroad between Fresno and Friant, Cal., still bears the name Pollasky Road.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
