Schlaeger, Victor L.
Born December 12, 1896 in Chicago, Ill. Son of Leo and Louise (Tuchocki) Schlaeger. Elementary education at St. Mary's Polish parochial school in Chicago, secondary education at Bowen High School, in Chicago. Graduated from the Northwestern University; School of Commerce. From 1919 to 1922 deputy collector of federal revenues. From 1923 to 1932 connected with National Carbon Co. In 1932 unsuccessful candidate for U.S. Congress from 2nd District in Chicago. From 1934 to 1937 chief deputy coroner for Cook County. In 1936 elected chief clerk of Superior Court of Chicago, Ill. In 1942 elected county treasurer of Chicago, Ill. Member of P.N.A., P.R.C.U., B.P.O. of Elks, Eagles. Married Victoria Grace Milaszewicz on September 17, 1923. Daughter, Grace Louise. Address: Treasurer's Office, Cook County, Chicago, Illinois.
