Schuetz, Leonard William
Congressman. Born in Posen, Poland, Nov. 16, 1887. Son of Vincent W. and Florence (Witowski) Schuetz; came to U.S. 1891. Education: public schools. Lane Tech. High School and Bryant and Stratton Business College, Chicago, Ill.; married Martha Schelm, Sept. 28, 1910; daughter, Florence. Stenographer for Wilber Mercantile Agency, 1898; the Nonotuck Silk Co., 1902-1906 Swift & Co., 1906-1923. Since 1923, president and treasurer of Schuetz Construction Company. First time elected to U.S. Congress in 1928; re-elected 1930, 1932, 1934, 1936, 1938, 1940 and 1942. Residence: 3335 N. Avers Ave., Chicago, Ill. Offices: 3620 N. Kilbourn Ave., Chicago, Ill.
