Seroczynski, Very Rev. Msgr. Felix Thomas
Clergyman. Born in Warsaw, Indiana, March 5, 1879. Son of Thomas and Justina (Swaszkiewicz) Seroczynski, grandson of Karol Seroczynski, Polish patriot. Education: public schools at Warsaw and St. Joseph's College at Rensselaer, Ind.; Mt. St. Mary's Seminary, Cincinnati, Ohio. Ordained 1904; has held the posts of assistant at St. Stanislaus' Church, East Chicago, and St. Mary's Church, Lafayette, Indiana, and rector of the Church of SS. Cyril and Methodius, North Judson, and of St. Adalbert's Church, Whiting, Ind.; rector of St. Casimir's Church, Hammond, Ind., for several years. Director of the Fire Insurance Society, diocese of Fort Wayne, md.; president of the Alumni Association of St. Joseph's College, Rensselaer, Ind., Knights of Columbus; member of Polish Roman Catholic Union; Catholic Order of Foresters. Contributor to Catholic Standard and Times, Philadelphia; Extension, Chicago. Contributed to the Catholic Encyclopedia, following articles: "Vincent Barzynski," "Joseph Dabrowski," "Poles in the United States." At present pastor of St. Lawrence parish, Muncie, Ind.
