Former PNA Commissioner and National Director
Chicago, IL - The Office of the PNA National Secretary was notified that former Commissioner of District XII and National PNA Director Joseph I. Sikora has passed away on April 23rd, 2008, reaching the age of 82.
He was a PNA member of Lodge 2993 in Chicago, IL since 1950. He served as a Vice President of Lodge 2993 from years 1958 to 1993, and President of Lodge 2993 from years 1994 to 2004.
In addition, he served as Vice President of Council 120 from 1968 to 1971, and President of Council 120 from 1972 to 1973.
He was a former PNA Commissioner, National Director, and delegate to the several National Conventions.
For several years he was very active in Polish American Congress - Illinois Division, where few times he was elected as Vice President of PAC - Illinois Division. At the same time he was active in Polish Veterans' Group No. 15.
The Funeral Ceremonies took place on Saturday, April 26th, 2008 from Malec Funeral Home with the Mass ceremonies at Holy Trinity Mission. The burial was conducted at Maryhill Cemetery in Niles, IL.
