Slesinski, Thaddeus
Insurance broker. Born May 16, 1890 in New York, N.Y. Son of Stanislaus and Alexandra Sleszynski. Graduated from New York City College, with B.S. degree in 1910; social worker in Chicago, Ill. 1912-19; 1922-24; Advertising executive for banks, 1924-30; Life insurance business since 1930 to date with offices at 175 W. Jackson Blvd., Chicago, Ill. Organized: Polish Social Workers Club of Chicago 1913; Polish Arts Club of Chicago, 1926, and its first secretary 1926-28; president, 1939-41; called the first National Convention of Polish Arts Clubs in New York City, Aug., 1939, and was chairman of second National Convention in Aug., 1940 in Milwaukee, Wis. Member of P.N.A.; Polish Commercial Club, Chicago, 1942. Author of numerous articles on cultural and social welfare and civic subjects. Decorated by Polish Government with the Silver Cross of Merit in 1939. Present address: 2049 Pierce Ave., Chicago, Ill.
