Smogor, Rev. Casimir

Clergyman, writer, Born 1871 in Wegrow, Poland; came to U.S. as a boy; settled in South Bend, Ind.; attended St. Hedwig's parochial school, South Bend, Ind.; Academy at Notre Dame, Ind.; Holy Cross College, Washington, D.C.; professor at St. Joseph's College, Cincinnati, Ohio; studied at Catholic University, Washington D. C.; ordained Sept, 8, 1897; asst. at St. Hedwig's, South Bend, Ind.; at Holy Trinity, Chicago, Ill.; pastor at Dillonville, Ohio, until 1905. In 1905 organized St. Stanislaus parish, Steubenville, 0., and was there until his death, March 16, 1940. Was very active in the Polish National Council during the World War. Author of several books, amongst them:
"Wyklad Przypowiesci Pana Jezusa w Kazaniach" dwa tomy (Parables of Jesus in Sermons), 2 volumes, Chicago, Ill.
