Smolczynski, Vincent
Writer. Born 1847 in Poland. Took part in the Polish insurrection against Russia in 1863; exiled twice by the Russians to Siberia, escaped and came to Detroit, Mich. in 1902. From 1904 to 1906 was financial secretary of 31st Nest of Polish Falcons of America, Detroit, Mich. Very active in organizing the Polish Falcons and P.N.A. Elected honorary member of P.N.A., and decorated by the Polish Falcons of America. In 1907 wrote a book: "Historja Osady Polskiej i Parafji Polskich w Detroit, Mich." Died on October 16, 1936.
