Sonnefeld, Rev. Michael, C. S. Sp.
Clergyman. Born September 10, 1877, in Jankowice, Poland. The son of John and Ann (Jankowska) Sonnefeld. Came to U.S. with parents in 1879 and settled in Pittsburgh, Pa. Graduate of Holy Ghost College, Pittsburgh, Pa., 1896. Studied theology at Cornwells Heights, Pa. Ordained Nov. 15, 1902 in Philadelphia, Pa. Professor at Duquesne University from 1903 to 1913. Pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka parish, Pittsburgh, Pa., for many years. At present (1943) pastor of Immaculate Heart of Mary parish, Pittsburgh, Pa. Wrote poetry which was published in two volumes: "Srebrne Listki" (The Silver Leaves), in 1927 in Pittsburgh Pa. Address: 57 Twenty-first St., Pittsburgh, Pa.
