Born in Danville, Pa., April 16, 1883. Son of Adalbert Soska and Frances Pachut. Studied at St. John Cantius parochial school and St. Stanislaus College, Chicago, Ill. Studied philosophy at St. Jeromes College, Kitchener, Canada, in preparation for priesthood. Attended St. Meinard's Seminary (6 months), St. Meinard, Indiana, but because of health was forced to disrupt his studies. Studied in the evening at Illinois College of Law, affiliated with De Paul University. Married Lillian J. Konczyk, August 6, 1919. Has four children. Investigator and claim adjustor for Frankford Marine Casualty Insurance Company, 1906-1910. Treasurer of Copernicus Bldg. and Loan Association from 1910 to date (1943). Director of the Board of Directors of the Polish Alma Mater of America, 1915-1917. Elected national president of Polish Alma Mater of America and holds that office to date, since 1917. In March, 1940, elected General Secretary of Polish American Council (prior to this was director of same organization, 1937-1940). President of American Fraternal Congress 1937-1938. One of the organizers of Sacred Heart of Mary (Polish Church in Chicago. Past vice president and organizer of Polish Welfare Assn. Member of Catholic Circle (Kolo Katolickie), Chicago Archdiocese. Member of numerous organizations. Very active in civic, social and fraternal circles. Residence: 3330 Irving Park Road, Chicago, Ill.
