Harriet Spinka
Singer

Harriet Spinka made her singing debut at the age of four. By the time she was ten her father, Bucky Harris, had taught her and her two sisters to sing his three-part arrangements. They performed in talent shows as well as local T.V. and radio. At age twelve, the "Arden Sisters" signed a recording contract with Musicor Records in New York. They were renamed "The Twinkles" and released the single "Your Fairy Tales."

Harriet left the trio to study music as a voice major at West Chester State, while she worked as a full-time lead and back-up singer with "Group 7." They toured from West Virginia to New York including special bookings at State Fairs and Dorney and Hershey Parks. She taught music pre-K to eighth grade, volunteered as a cantor and was lead singer and arranger for two local banquet bands, "Celebrations" and "Magic."

Fifteen years ago, she joined her husband. Mike, as a professional church musician (cantor, liturgist and choir director.) She is currently stationed at Saint Paul Church in East Norriton, and is also the choir director for the "Marcella Kochanska-Sembrich Female Chorus" in Philadelphia.

Mike Spinka
Musician

Mike Spinka started playing accordion professionally with the "Just Four Quartet" at age 13. While he was still in high school, he began his studies at Neupauer Conservatory in the Schubert Building, Center City, Philadelphia. He completed six years as an accordion major and also played tuba, bass, piano and organ. Mr. Spinka continued to work as a full time musician, playing piano, electrovox, organ and accordion for ten years with the "Paul Farnan Orchestra" and "The Second Time Around." He then cut down to part-time for the next seven years with the "Standouts."

Fifteen years ago, when his children were grown, he felt a calling to renew his music and began working as a church organist with his wife, Harriet, as cantor and choir director. He currently plays for Saint Paul Church in East Norriton, and the "Marcella Kochanska-Sembrich Female Chorus" in Philadelphia.
