Congratulations to Frank Spula 19th President of the Polish National Alliance

The Polish American Cultural Center Museum in Historic Philadelphia, the Polish American Congress, Eastern Pennsylvania District, and members of the Polish National Alliance (PNA) extend congratulations to Mr. Frank J. Spula who was elected president of the Polish National Alliance, America's largest Polish American fraternal organization, on Friday, June 3, 2005.

The election was called by the Censor of the Polish National Alliance, Mr. Hilary Czaplicki, following the passing of Mr. Edward Moskal, who served as president of the Polish National Alliance since 1988. The meeting consisted of PNA Commissioners from across America and took place in Philadelphia's Historic District Holiday Inn on June 2nd and 3rd.

While touring Historic Philadelphia on Saturday, June 4th, the group stopped at the Polish American Cultural Center Museum at 308 Walnut Street. I had the opportunity to welcome the PNA delegation and offer personal congratulations to Mr. Frank Spula, along with best wishes as the new president of the Polish National Alliance. The visit to the historic district was especially meaningful since the Polish National Alliance was founded on 3rd Street in Philadelphia in 1880. The PNA celebrated the actual date of its 125th Anniversary on February 15th at an event which took place at the Polish American Cultural Center Museum. Over the years the PNA has spread across America and today maintains lodges throughout the United States.

Mr. Spula is a resident of Chicago, Illinois where the national headquarters of the Polish National Alliance is located. He has been involved with the PNA for many years and served in local Chicago PNA positions and also on the national level as its National Sales Director and National Secretary. Mr. Spula also served as President of the Polish American Congress, Illinois Division, from 1992 to 1999.

Polonia extends congratulations to Mr. Spula and best wishes as he assumes his duties as President of the Polish National Alliance!
