Staciewicz, Rev. Gregory, O.M.C.
Pioneer-priest of the Franciscan Fathers Minor Conventual in United States. In "The Minorite," published monthly by The Friars Minor Conventuals, Seaside Park, N.J., vol. X., No. 12, December, 1935 on page, we read: "In the Registers of the General Curia of the Order in Rome there is a record of Fr. Gregory Staciewicz, who on April 23, 1845 was presented with the Doctorate of Sacred Theology Gregory XVI because of missionary labors for ten years among the peoples of America and England."
