Starzyk, Mary Martha
Pianist, accompanist, composer. Born in Chicopee, Mass. Daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Paul P. Starzyk. High school graduate. Studied music under private teachers. At the age of ten appeared as a solo artist at a patriotic program dedicated to Calvin Coolidge. Musical compositions published: "Dreams by the Brook," "Butterfly Dance" and "Linda May Polka." Wrote a poem, "Paderewski Concert." The great Polish artist commenting on it said "the poem is beautiful and close to my heart." Appeared on radio broadcasts throughout New England.
