Starzynski, Rev. Miecislaus, C.R.
Editor. Born Dec. 6, 1897 in Chicago, Ill. Son of Paul and Bronislava (Cywinska) Starzynski. Education: St. Stanislaus parochial school in 1911; St. Stanislaus Kostka College, summa cum laude, in 1915. Philosophy studied at St. Mary's College, graduating with Ph.L. degree in 1923. Graduated from St. Louis University, St. Louis, Mo., School of Theology, with BA. degree in 1925, and M.A. in 1926. Ordained Dec. 17, 1927, St. Louis, Mo. Since August, 1928 engaged as professor at St. Stanislaus Kostka College, Chicago, Ill., and in 1931 appointed rector of said College. In 1935 became manager of Chicago Daily News, and in 1937 editor of said paper. In 1938 went to Europe, to visit Rome, Italy, where he was elected member of said General Capitulum of Resurrection Fathers and General Procurator of the Order. Secretary of the Polish American Council, 1939-1940. In 1940 again appointed editor-in-chief of Polish Daily News in which capacity he still (1943) serves. Address: 1455 W.
