Studer, Rev. Stephen
Roman Catholic priest. Born in Janowiec, Poland, in 1882. Son of Andrew and Catherine Studer. Attended St. Josaphat's parochial school and the parish high school, Milwaukee, Wis., from which he graduated with high honors. Studied at St. Francis Seminary, St. Francis, Wis. Ordained to priesthood in 1909. His first assignment was as curate at St. Hedwig's Church, and later as curate at St. Casimir's Church where he served for almost fifteen years; was transferred as curate to St. Adalbert's Church. He was very much liked in Berlin and soon became a leader of his parishioners. In 1942 he was appointed pastor of St. Vincent de Paul's Church, Milwaukee, Wis.
