Szorc, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Lawrence
Roman clergyman. Born in Poland. Studied at the Minor Seminary of SS. Cyril and Methodius at Orchard Lake, Mich. Entered the Major Seminary of St. Bernard at Rochester, N.Y., from which he was ordained in 1909. After six years as a curate in St. Joseph's Church, Passaic, N.J., was appointed pastor of St. Stanislaus parish, Garfield, N.J. and in 1929 was transferred as pastor to St. Joseph's Church, Passaic, N.J. Is a Parochial Consultor of the Roman Catholic diocese of Paterson. For his notable services to the Church, Pope Pius XII elevated him to the rank of Domestic Prelate in August, 1942.
