Szukalski, Stanislaus
Sculptor and painter. Born on December 3, 1895 in Poland. At the age of eight began carving in soft limestone animals, birds and human figures. At fourteen he was admitted to the Academy of Arts in Krakow. Author of a book: "Projects in Design." From 1916 to 1934 lived in Chicago, Ill. From 1934 to 1937 in Poland. All his works destroyed during the bombardments of Warsaw, Poland by the Germans. Married. Resides in Riverside, Ill.
