Szwajkart, Adam
Physician. Born in 1860 Rykow, Poland: education in Zloczow and Brzezany. Gymnasium in Stanislawow. In 1881 entered University of Cracow, Department of Pharmacy and graduated from University in Lwow as Magister of Pharmacy. Came to U.S. and became the owner of two drugstores in Chicago, Ill. In 1894 he went to Poland visiting Kosciuszko Exposition in Lwow, Poland, as a delegate of Polish emigration in the U.S. Upon his return entered the University of Chicago, graduating in 1897. Member of American Medical Association; doctor of General Austrian-Hungarian consulate in Chicago: Chief medical examiner of P.P.C.U. of America. In 1901 unsuccessful candidate for a councilman of Chicago. In 1904 appointed Park Commissioner of Chicago, Ill.
