Szymkowski, John
Civic leader. Born in Poznan, Poland, 1875; came to Chicago in 1886; education: St. Stanislaus Kostka, Chicago, Ill.: in 1894 married Mary Zwiefka; cashier of White Eagle Brewery from 1903 until 1911; established a cigar factory in 1910. In 1914 elected alderman of 16th ward, reelected in 1916. Died July 14, 1917 in Chicago, Ill.
