Botanist. Born in Konigshutte (Krolewska Huta), Poland, Jan. 23, 1875. Education: Berlin, 1900 to 1901; Vienna, 1902; University of Michigan granted him Ph.D. degree in 1906. Assistant Physiologist at University of Michigan, 1903-1906; assistant professor of botany, Ohio State Univ., 1908 1914; Plant physiologist Bureau of Soils U.S. Dept. of Agriculture, 1915 1927; botanist at Ohio Geological Survey, 1909-1912; member of A.A.
