1999 Pulaski Day Parade Grand Marshal

The Polish American Congress, Eastern Pennsylvania District, its Pulaski Day Parade Committee, and the Polonia of our area extend congratulations to Theodore (Ted) Drejerski, President of Polish Beneficial Association (PBA), who was selected as Grand Marshal for this year's Pulaski Day Parade. We will proudly join with him in the line of march in the 66th annual Pulaski Day Parade in center city Philadelphia.

The Polish American Congress selected Mr. Drejerski in recognition of his many tireless years of service with Polish American Fraternalism, both with his own fraternal, PBA, as well as with other fraternal groups in the Delaware Valley area of Pennsylvania.

Ted became active with PBA in 1965 as a Trustee for Group 16, then became Group Secretary for Group 21 in 1969 and in 1974 was elected as a Board of Director for the Bridesburg and Frankford sections. In 1978, he was elected PBA's Vice President, and served in that capacity for 12 years and in 1990 was elected PBA President, reelected in 1994 and 1998.

Besides being active with PBA, Ted served as President (1992-93) of the Philadelphia Fraternals, a city wide organization of fraternal societies, is a full time realtor with Herman C. Idler Co., member and past President of the Frankford Exchange Club, and a Polish American Congress member.

Ted is also a writer who has submitted numerous articles to a variety of publications. He also serves as the PBA News Editor for the Polish American Journal newspaper since 1974.

Ted resides in the Torresdale section of Philadelphia with his wife of 32 years, Alice (Sliwa).

They have one son, Stephen.
