Dworaczyk, Rev. Edward J.
Author. Son of Julius Dworaczyk and Mary Jarzombek; born Oct. 7, 1906, at Yorktown, Texas. Elementary studies completed in the parochial schools of Yorktown, Czestohowa and Kosciusko, Tex. His studies for priesthood began at the Diocesan Seminary, San Antonio, Tex., in Sept., 1920. Studied theology in St. Meinrad Seminary, St. Meimirad, Ind. Ordained to the priesthood March 25, 1930, by the Most Rev. Arthur J. Drossaerts at the San Fernando Cathedral; his first appointment was as assistant pastor to Rev. John Tokarz, Panna Maria Texas. Since the death of Rev. J. Tokarz, June 1931, Father Dworaczyk has remained in charge of the parish. Author of "The First Polish Colonists of America in Texas," also of the English translation of Skarga's "Eucharist," published by Bruce Publishing Co., Milwaukee, Wis.
