Dworzak, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Joseph C., Ph.D., S.T.D., J.C.D.
Born Nov. 11, 1867 in Biskupice, Silesia, Poland. Educated in Rome; ordained April 16, 1892. Organized St. Valentine parish, New York, N. Y., in 1892, and was its pastor from 1892 to 1897. In 1897 he organized St. Adalbert's parish, Bronx, N. Y. In 1903 organized St. Casimir parish in Yonkers, N. Y., where he is pastor since that time. In 1912 he helped to organize and to build St. Stanislaus Kostka parish at Hastingson-Hudson, N. Y. In 1931 was elevated to the rank of Domestic Prelate. Judex Pro-Synodalis of the Archdiocese of New York, also examiner of the Clergy and Diocesan Consultor. Decorated with "Polonia Restituta" for his help in organizing the Polish Army in France and United States. Member of P.R.C.U. Organized a committee and raised funds to erect Thaddeus Kosciuszko monument in West Point, N. Y. Residence: 263 Nepperham Ave., Yonkers, N. Y.
