Publisher. Born on June 13, 1843 in Chwalkow, Poland. Came to U.S. in May 18, 1866 and to Chicago in 1867. The real name of his father was Dywicz. Was publisher of a Polish weekly "Gazeta Polska" in Chicago, Ill. Organizer of the first Polish parish in Chicago. Reprinted thousands of Polish books and sold them to the Polish readers.
