Dzialuk, Rev. Michael, D.D.
Roman Catholic clergyman. Born in Poland, October 25, 1880. Educated in the elementary and secondary schools of Poland. As a young lad went to Italy where he studied. He came to U.S. in 1905 and entered the Polish Seminary in Detroit, Mich. He was incardinated to the diocese of Syracuse, N. Y. by Bishop Ludden, who sent him to Canada to pursue higher studies in Montreal. He was ordained to holy priesthood December 23, 1911 in St. James Cathedral, Montreal, Canada. In June, 1914 appointed pastor of a new Polish parish in Binghmamton, N. Y., which he organized and was pastor of same for six years. On October 7, 1920, Most Rev. Bishop Grimes transferred him as pastor of Holy Trinity Church, Utica, N. Y. and in which capacity he still serves. During his pastorship in Utica, Father Dzialuk donated to the city a beautiful monument of Brigadier General Casimir Pulaski.
