Dziewanowski, Nicholas
Civil War soldier. Born Dec. 10, 1843 in Pulaski, Wis. Son of a Polish warrior of 1830-31, who was deported to America by Austria. Enlisted in the U.S. Army during the Civil War. Promoted to the rank of sergeant in the 69th Battery of Wis. Was wounded in action at Vicksburg. In 1931 lived in Humboldt, Iowa.
