Dziuban, Stanley W.
U.S. Army officer. Born in Yonkers, N. Y. in 1914; son of a Polish immigrant. Educated in Yonkers schools and New York University. He enlisted as a private in regular U.S. Army and was assigned to Fort Totten, N. Y. He devoted his free time to intensive study and gained the rank of lieutenant which made him eligible to U.S. Military Academy, West Point, N. Y. He led his class each year and on June 12, 1939, graduated with the highest honors out of 456 cadets. Assigned to active duty in the Hawaii Islands soon after graduation from West Point.
