Galezowski, Severin
Physician-philanthropist. Born 1801 in Poland; graduated from the University of Wilno. In 1834 emigrated to Brazil where he befriended the poor; stayed there until 1848; he was for some time in Mexico, in the silver region, where he practiced medicine. In 1848 went to Paris, France, where he died.
