Gara, Very Rev. Msgr. Joseph
Born in 1876 in Jaszowice, Poland. Secondary education in Biala and Wadowice. In 1894 came to U.S.; graduated from the Polish Seminary (department of philosophy), in Detroit, Mich. and from St. Francis Seminary, St. Francis, Wis.; ordained Jan. 6, 1898. In 1902 became pastor of Sacred Heart of Jesus parish in Pine Creek, Wis., where he remained until his death, Jan. 1,1938.
