Graduate of Polish Theological Seminary, Orchard Lake, Mich in 1929. Graduate of University of Michigan, Department of Chemistry Graduate of Notre Dame University with M.S., 1934 and Ph.D. in Chemistry, 1936. In 1939, appointed vice-president of St. Mary's College, Orchard Lake, Mich. Invented a special system of education: The Gierut System of Grading. Assistant professor of St. Mary's College, 1929-1932. Asst. prof. in University of Notre Dame, 1934-1936. Instructor of chemistry; head of chemistry department; dean of studies at St. Mary's College, Orchard Lake, Mich.
