Globenski (Glabinski), August Frank
Physician, pharmacist. Born in Poland; son of a Polish diplomat, attache to the embassy in Prussia. As a young man he joined the Hesse-Haynau regiment (the company of Major de Franken) and with that regiment crossed the Atlantic. After the American Revolution, he received his discharge from the company. Settling at Vercheres, Province of Quebec, he obtained a pharmacist's license, August 15, 1788 and a Surgeon's license on March 3, 1790. Late in 1790 he moved to St. Eustache. He married Francoise Brousseau. The date of his death is unknown, but he was still alive in 1822.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
