Glowacki, Henry
Jurist. Born in 1816 in Poland. Considered the founder of the city of Batavia, N. Y. Prominent Democrat served as presidential elector four times. Elected to the State Assembly of New York. Came to U.S. in 1834 as exile sent by Austria from Triest after the Polish Insurrection in Austria, 1831. His portrait hangs in Historical Building at Buffalo, N. Y. Died in 1891.
