Gorski, Rev. Anthony
Born Jan. 3, 1869 in Wisznice, Poland; ordained on Sept. 8, 1895. From 1895 to Aug. 9, 1924 pastor of St. Stanislaus parish in Amsterdam, N. Y. From 1924 to 1931 pastor of St. Casimir's parish in Albany, N. Y. From Dec. 22, 1931 to Dec. 10, 1937, again pastor of St. Stanislaus parish in Amsterdam, N. Y. Honorary chaplain of the Veterans of the Polish Army. For his splendid services toward Poland rendered during the first World War, received the award of "Polonia Restituta" from the Polish Government. For his work among Polish singing societies in America, General HaIler decorated him with the "Swords of Haller." Died December 10, 1937.
