Writer. Born March 25, 1916, in Milwaukee, Wis. Education: St. Bonaventure Minor Seminary, Sturtevant, Wis. St. Francis College, Burlington. Wis.: St. Mary of Angels Theological Seminary, Green Bay, Wis.; Atteneum Pontificium Autonianum at Rome, Italy. 1937-1939, where he studied theology; Catholic University of America, 1941-1942, where he is specializing in Philosophy. Ordained priest on June 20, 1940. Teacher at St. Francis College, Burlington, Wis. Contributor to the Franciscan Studies, published by St. Bonaventure College, St. Bonaventure, N. Y. In 1941 he contributed: "Scotistic Bibliography of the Last Decade" (1929-1939). Member of the Advisory Board of Franciscan Studies. While a student at the Franciscan International University in Rome, The Pontificium Atheneum Antonianum, during the years 1937 to 1939, did a vast amount of reading in Scotistic philosophy. Realizing that an adequate bibliography of the writings of Duns Scotus and his doctrine during the past decade was lacking, he undertook the prodigious task of compiling such a bibliography. The European war compelled him to return to the U.S. in Nov., 1939, but fortunately he was able to complete his task before his departure.
