Gregorius, Adam S.
Lawyer. Born in Marianow, Lithuania; son of Simon and Adela (Tracewska) Gregorowicz. Came to America, Baltimore, Md. in 1888 and lives there since. Education: four years in a parochial school and two years reading law in a lawyer's office. Admitted to Maryland Bar in 1900, practices law since. His name was legally changed to Gregorius during childhood. Wrote a number of Polish and English articles. Attorney in the State of Maryland for the Consul General of Poland in N. Y. City sInce 1925. Assistant to the Attorney General of Baltimore from 1910-1918. A delegate to the First Polish Congress
in Washington during the unveiling of the Pulaski and Kosciuszko Monuments. President of the local chapter of P.N.A.; president of the Polish Community Center: president of the Polish War Relief Committee from its inception to Jan., 1942. Former executive secretary of the Maryland Commission for the Relief of Poland's War Victims which he organized in 1916 among prominent American Poles. In Jan., 1942 retired entirely from public life and writes occasionally for the Polish press. Conducts law offices at 11 E. Lexington Ave., Baltimore, Md.From: "Who's Who in Polish America" by Rev.
