Grodzki, Frank Borgeous
Judge, lawyer. Born Aug. 20, 1877 in Washington, Mo. Married Sadie A. Smith; have no children. Came to St. Louis, Mo. from Washington, Mo. at the age of 12; while working, took up the study of law at night schools. In 1898, when 21 years of age enlisted in the U.S. Cavalry during the Spanish-American War. Attended Metropolitan College of Law at night. Admitted to the Bar, July 2, 1913. Appointed Judge of St. Louis Court of Criminal Correction, and later appointed Municipal Judge of the City Court, St. Louis, Mo. Organized the Polish Falcons nest in St. Louis, Mo. In 1921 at the National Convention of the P.N.A. in Toledo, Ohio, instrumental in promoting sport activities in this organization. Considered the father of baseball in P.N.A. Elected and re elected President of the Greater St. Louis Bowling Ass'n. Traveled from coast to coast, appeared and lectured to the various Polish colonies. He is one of the most popular and best known Poles in the U.S.
