Attended Sacred Heart parochial school, Syracuse, N. Y. and Lincoln Public school, Syracuse, N. Y. Graduate of Alliance College, Cambridge Springs, Pa. and Syracuse University, Syracuse. N. Y. While attending public school sold newspapers in the streets, and while studying at the university edited a weekly and worked in a factory. Taught history and civics in night school. Admitted to the Massachusetts Bar, September 21, 1921. Practiced law in Springfield, Mass., until Sept. 1927, thence left for Hamtramck, Mich., where in 1934 was elected Justice of the Peace for a four year term. Re-elected in 1938 and in 1942 to the same office. Married Helen Kwiatkowska, July 19, 1922. Has three children.
