Teacher. Lecturer. Born in Plonsk, Poland; the daughter of Edward Budzynski and Stephania Szmulski. Educated in New York City Schools, graduated with medals and high honors. Received B.A. from Hunter College; M.A. from Columbia University in 1937. Kosciuszko Foundation Scholar, summer of 1934; studied at University of Warsaw and Jagiellonian University, Krakow, Poland. Teacher in the New York City public schools. Instructor of Polish at Columbia University Extension: author of numerous magazine and newspaper articles; wrote a book: "Tentative Syllabus in Polish for the American High Schools," the first syllabus of Polish published in accordance with American methods of teaching. Worked in the Polish Educational Council of Paterson, N. J., organizing lectures for a better understanding between Poles and Americans. Decorated with Silver Cross of Merit by the Government of Poland. Address: 58 Bradford St., Glen Rock, N. J.
