Ignasiak, Rt. Rev. Msgr. Andrew
Pioneer-priest. Born in Poland; pastor of St. Stanislaus Parish, Erie, Pa., from August 22, 1886 until his death. Built a magnificent church, Parochial school, high school, parish home, rectory, and sisters convent. Founded two Building and Loan Associations in Erie, Pa. Bought 128 acres and founded St. John Kanty College in Erie, Pa. He donated a large sum of money to the Polish Seminary, Orchard Lake, Mich. Died December 29, 1934.
