Kac, Marek
Professor of mathematics. Born in Lwow, Poland, in 1915. Attended elementary and secondary schools in Lwow, where he also studied in the University of Lwow. Assistant professor of mathematics at the University of Lwow, 1935-1937. Research fellow of mathematics at the John Hopkins University, 1938-39. Instructor of mathematics at Cornell University, Ithaca, N. Y.
