Harriet Kaminski (1923 - January 2, 2012)EAST WINDSOR - Harriet (Kwacz) Kaminski, 89, of East Windsor, died Monday morning at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Jersey City, she resided in Jersey City for many years before moving to East Windsor in 1986. Mrs. Kaminski attended Dickenson High School and later was employed with Cooperative Clothing as a seamstress during World War II from 1941-1946. She was also employed as an administrative assistant with Hudson Bus Transportation Company/Red & Tan Bus Company of Jersey City. Mrs. Kaminski was a former member of St. Ann's Polish RC Church in Jersey City, where she served on the Altar Rosary Society and was a member of the Senior Citizens Club. She was currently a member of St. Hedwig's RC Church, Trenton. She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Michalina Kwacz and daughter-in-law of the late Joseph and Antoinette Kaminski, wife of the late George Kaminski and sister of the late Stanley, Walter, and Joseph Kwacz and Stella Hazewski, and Irene Krukar, sister-in-law of the late, Leon Hazewski, Nancy Kaminski, and Veronica Kwacz.
She is survived by her two daughters, Christine and her husband, William Muszynski, and Mary Ann Mellen; her grandsons, William Muszynski, Anthony and George Mellen; her granddaughter, Julie Ann O'Brien and her husband, Michael; her two great-grandchildren, Erin and Liam O'Brien; her sister-in-law, Helen Kwacz; her brother-in- law, Rudy Krukar; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great- nephews. The funeral service will begin at 9 a.m. Friday at the Saul Memorial Home, 1740 Greenwood Ave., Hamilton, NJ. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at St. Hedwig's RC Church, 872 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ, with Rev. Canon Dr. Jacek Labinski officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ Relatives and friends may call from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Memorial Home.
