Clergyman, professor. Born in Chicago, Ill., where he received his primary and secondary education; son of Ignace and Mary Karwata. Studied philosophy and theology at Gregorianum, Rome, Italy, for six years, Ordained April 28, 1918. Professor at St. Stanislaus Kostka College, Chicago, Ill. Asst. at St. Hedwig's, Milwaukee, Wis.; since 1924 asst. at St. Mary's of Czestochowa parish, Milwaukee, Wis. Professor of Polish at Marquette University, Milwaukee, Wis. For some time pastor of Italian parish at Kenosha, Wis. In Jan., 1940 appointed pastor of St. Stanislaus parish, Racine, Wis. Address: 1754 Grand Ave., Racine, Wis.
