Kasmar (Gorczyca), Mary
Teacher of music and literature in the Minneapolis Public Schools (Junior High Grades). Born in Minneapolis, Minn. Graduated from the University of Minnesota in June, 1928 with a major in music, minor in history, sociology and literature. In 1922, while in High School, was awarded a city wide prize of $50.00 for original composition in music. Two other of her compositions were awarded honorable mention. Conducted a Polish Chorus of over one hundred voices for the Minnesota Pulaski Day Celebration. Her Public School Glee Clubs have won state wide recognition and have been heard in radio broadcasts. She has also won the distinction of playing her own composition in a radio broadcast. Music director of "Polanie" Club. Past president of "Polanie." Residence: 2347 N.E. Arthur St., Minneapolis, Minn.
