Kasprzycki, Very Rev. John, C.R.
Clergyman. General of the Resurrection Fathers, 1905-1920. Born March 14, 1858 in Rozental, Poland. Primary and secondary education in Nowe Miasto and Chelmno, Poland. In 1879 left for Rome, where he entered Resurrection Fathers. Ordained in Rome, Aug. 25, 1886. From 1886 to 1889 at Krakow. In 1890 came to Chicago, Ill. In 1893 organized St. John Kanty parish. Pastor of same from 1893 to 1899. In 1899 elected provincial of Resurrection Fathers and pastor of St. Stanislaus Kostka parish, Chicago, where he served till 1905. In 1905 elected General of Resurrection Fathers and remained in Rome until 1920. In 1920 appointed master of the Novitiate and erected a beautiful chapel. Member of P.R.C.U. Died May 3,1933.
