Kaulbersz, George
Physiologist, physician. Born in Kalisz, Poland. Aug. 19, 1891. Completed his technical and professional studies in Poland and abroad. University of Freiburg, Badenia, granted him Doctor of Philosophy degree in 1912. University of Cracow granted him Doctor of Medicine degree in 1920. From 1934 to 1939 professor of physiology at the Jagiellonian University. In the summer of 1939 came to U.S. to visit the World's Fair in New York City and to visit numerous educational institutions in this country. Because of the start of II World War, forced to remain in this country. Author of numerous monographs in biology, physiology and pharmacology published in various magazines in Europe and U.S. in the Polish, French, German and English languages. Corresponding member of The Polish Institute of Arts and Sciences in America. At present "Research Associate" in Wayne University, College of Medicine, Detroit, Mich.
