Born Jan. 19, 1948, Iwonicz Zdroj, Poland; came to U.S., 1979; son of Jozef and Helena (Gazdek); children: Agatha, Martha.
Education: State Higher School of Fine Arts, Gdansk (Poland), 1971-73.
Author: numerous hand carved sculptures and reliefs of large dimension involving liturgical art, installed in 40 churches (IL, OH, MO, IN, IA, CO, FL); various shows and exhibitions, i.a.: Songs of John Lennon, 1980, Horses, 1982, USA, Cities and States, 1983, America Blues, 1985, Biography, 1987, - all in Wooden Gallery, Chicago (IL); Liturgical Art Expo, 1981, Chicago; America - Yes!, Carson, Pirie & Scott, 1981, Chicago; International Woodworking Show, Hyatt Regency, 1981, Chicago.
Honors: main award, St. Mary, Queen of the Universe Shrine, Orlando (FL), 1984; 1st prize, project. Mary De Strada Chapel, Loyola University, Chicago, 1986; award, project, St. Sabina Sanctuary, Chicago, 1988.
