Lawyer, judge, Judge of the Circuit Court of Cook County, Ill. Born Sept. 19, 1891 in Chicago, Ill. The son of Dr. B. Klarkowski. Married Susan Korzeniowski, June 1, 1921; educated in the public and parochial schools of Chicago, University of Notre Dame and completed study of law in John Marshall Law School. Admitted to Bar 1913; served as Assistant Prosecuting Attorney in city of Chicago for two years; Assistant State's Attorney Cook County, eight years; enlisted during World War I in the U.S. Army and honorably discharged Dec., 1918; engaged in private practice of law. In June, 1927, elected Judge of Circuit Court of Cook County; re-elected in 1939; has served as Chief Justice of the Circuit Court of Cook County and Criminal Court of Cook County; Chief of the Law Division and Chief of the Chancery Division of the Circuit Court and a member of the Executive Committee of the Court; first judge of Polish ancestry elected to the Circuit Court of Cook County. Member of American and Illinois Bar associations; forty-and-eight, Past Commander of Allied Post 226, American Legion; member of Polish National Alliance and other civic and fraternal organizations; affiliated with the Republican party.
